What is the difference between synthetic, silk and mink eyelash extensions?
Synthetic lashes
Synthetic lashes are primarily made of acrylic material giving a glossy and shiny appearance. They are fantastic value & very durable.
However, they are not as smooth or natural as silk and mink lashes, making them more suitable for younger ladies with full eyelashes. As they are a little heavy, they cannot be worn for long periods.
Another advantage of these eyelash extensions is that they do not weaken your natural eyelashes.
They are the perfect eyelash extensions for brief encounters!
Silk lashes
Silk lashes are a finer, lighter eyelash extension. You can wear these lashes for longer thanks to the fact that they are light weight; and compared to synthetic lashes, silk lashes last a little bit longer.
They are comfortable to wear, ideal for people of all ages & are also suitable for clients with thin or weak eyelashes.
There is a beautiful range to choose from, with many different lengths, styles and curls.
Ideal for people who want to fill out their lashes but look natural at the same time.
Mink lashes
Mink lashes are not artificially made, but come from real animal fur. They are finer and softer than silk eyelash extensions, so they need to be handled with care in order to last long.
Their curls aren’t generally affected by water contact, but in case of flattening, the curl may be reinstated with an eyelash curler.
Mink eyelash extensions take longer to apply than the synthetic & silk kinds. Due to their fineness, there are more lashes to apply.
For really fluffy, natural looking eyelashes!
I hope this brief guide has helped you understand which eyelash extensions suit you better, or which type to choose for a special occasion.
